When Xtreme Power Systems set out to find a fan system that could meet they're extreme needs, they discovered that the Dynamax fan was the best choice. This fan system was originally powered by a OS.91 glow engine.  They have converted this fan system to electric, with the motor produced exclusively for Xtreme Power Systems by Hacker Motors.  The large 8 pole outrunner motor can handle 3900 watts of power and run on up to 11 Lipo cells! However, the reality is that this motor is very efficient and typically operates on 11 cells at under 100 amps, making the wattage in the low 4000 watt range. The motor is integrated into the center hub. It is an outside-in design, meaning that it is an outrunner motor that is placed inside of a housing. There is a a special cooling fan inside that pushes air through the motor. Note: the screws shown in the photos are not the correct type, production units will have proper counter-sunk screws. This new fan system uses an unheard of six bearing support system! There are two bearings on the rear, two bearings on the front, and two more bearings on the 7/8" long output shaft for the 11 bladed rotor. We ran the fan continuously for more than 5 hours in the 115 degree F Arizona desert heat! The maximum temperature at the core was 230 degrees F, with the bearing temperatures about 160 degrees F. This is extremely cool compared to other outrunner setups being used in Dynamax fans!
